Tampico Metro will hold a festival for “Mauricio Garcés”

From artistic activities, projection of short filmes and a good chat you will find in the fourth festival to the actor from Tampico.

The Metropolitan Cultural Space invites you to attend the fourth festival to “Mauricio Garcés” where there will be different activities focused on the participation and career of the Mexican film actor.

Who was Mauricio Garces?

The iconic Mauricio Garcés, originally from Tampico, earned a reputation as a gallant due to the roles he played on the big screen, where he invented phrases that stayed in the collective imagination of the country, for example: “I bring them dead!”, ” Rice!” and “It must be horrible to have me and then lose me!”.

These are the activities you can do at the festival

In the Tampico Metro, festivals have been organized in his honor, which is why citizens are invited to participate in these artistic activities of the fourth festival to Garcés.

Starting at 4:00 p.m. in the Metro lobby you will find exhibitions, photographs, and paintings “Through the eyes of Garcés”.

At 5:00 p.m. “Pure Tales by Garcés” with Lolita storyteller.

At 5:30 p.m. they will screen the shorts film: “Luces, cámara, arroz”, “El mau en Tampico” and “El bato” as well as a music video “Galán Garcés” with the narration of Paco Meza.

At 7:00 p.m. there will be a talk ” Un galán del puerto” with the participation of Miguel Hernández and Manuel Chirinos.

Where will the festival be? The festival to “Mauricio Garcés” will be at the facilities of the Metropolitan Cultural Space in Tampico, on Sunday, February 26 o’clock at 4:00 p.m. The entry is completely free.
