With the approval of the “Towing Law” by the State Congress, citizens will no longer have to pay for towing and impound fees when their vehicle has not committed an infraction that warrants such service, announced Representative Magaly Deandar, who championed the initiative.
The state legislator indicated that this reform seeks to curb abuses and protect the finances of Tamaulipas families. “I am working to ensure that the law is on the side of the people of Tamaulipas,” Deandar stated after the bill’s approval.
The Towing Law stipulates that authorities may only order a vehicle towed to the impound lot when there is an infraction that justifies it according to the law, eliminating improper charges for unjustified towing.
