The Tamaulipas Secretariat of Public Security launched a special security operation for the summer vacation period, deploying approximately 3,500 operational personnel across the state.
The head of the agency, Arturo Pancardo Escudero, announced that the operation will run from June 9 to August 9, with a presence on major highways, in tourist areas, and along travel routes used by citizens visiting from abroad.
He detailed that the deployed personnel belong to the State Guard and State Traffic Police; they will work in shifts to maintain constant surveillance and provide assistance and support to the public.
The operation covers 11 delegations, 43 regional coordination units, and 25 “Safe Stations,” aiming to bolster crime prevention, emergency response, and traveler support throughout the holiday season.
Authorities stated that the strategy seeks to ensure security and immediate response capabilities for any incident along the state’s main travel corridors.
