Hotel occupancy in Tamaulipas is projected to surpass 80 percent during the upcoming summer vacation period, with the economic impact estimated to reach 3.9 billion pesos.

State Tourism Secretary Benjamín Hernández Rodríguez noted the favorable outlook, anticipating an influx of 4.3 million visitors—primarily to Miramar and La Pesca beaches, as well as the town of Gómez Farías and the “Magical Town” (Pueblo Mágico) of Tula.

He pointed out that, given the favorable conditions for this summer season, tourists are expected to stay for at least three days, which would boost the economic impact.

Currently, reservations at beach hotels stand at 68 percent and are expected to exceed 80 percent; hotel operators are already preparing for this surge.
