Tamaulipas is nominated for Best of Mexico 2026 in four categories: Best Three Experiences to Have in Mexico Once in a Lifetime, El Cielo Biosphere Reserve; Best Experience Combining Nature and Spirituality, La Virgen de El Chorrito; Best Contemporary Cultural Festival, Jazz International Tampico Fest; and Best Beach to Discover, Barra del Tordo.
Benjamín Hernández Rodríguez, Secretary of Tourism for Tamaulipas, emphasized the importance of participating in these competitions, which raise awareness and showcase the beauty of our state—a state that truly has it all: Tamaulipas.
You can participate by visiting the following link: https://lomejormexico.com/mejor-joya-oculta-por-descubrir/. There are 12 categories to choose from, and Tamaulipas is competing in four of them. The deadline is April 20th.
The best part is that Tamaulipas is increasingly attracting national and international attention for its safety, infrastructure, connectivity, and enchanting tourist destinations, from nature to beaches, sports, and much more, the state official indicated.
He noted that, in addition to intensive promotion at trade shows and other events, the state is positioning itself as one of Mexico’s most attractive destinations, strengthening the “Mexico is in Fashion” campaign.
With Tamaulipas making waves with two nominations—one for the Magical Towns of Tula and Mier in the Excelencias Awards, organized by Grupo Excelencias, and this second competition with four nominated categories for “The Best of Mexico,” organized by the specialized magazine México Desconocido—we hope you will vote for us online, he concluded.
