In 2025, Tamaulipas will stand out with 21 “H,” “M,” and “Clean Point” distinctions, along with hotel excellence ratings, the result of a united effort between the public, private, and academic sectors, which strongly boosts the state’s tourism competitiveness.
Benjamín Hernández Rodríguez, Secretary of Tourism in Tamaulipas, explained that “during the event, the country’s states and tourism service providers that, throughout the year, have stood out for their commitment to quality, sustainability, and excellence in visitor service, among others, were recognized.”
“Governor Américo Villarreal Anaya’s commitment is to continue promoting the training, professionalization, and integration of service providers into the National Tourism Registry, encouraging the obtaining of certifications that increase the quality, trust, and competitiveness of the destination,” said the state official.
He stated that “the ceremony for the presentation of seals, badges, and certificates was led by the Secretary of Tourism of the Government of Mexico, Josefina Rodríguez Zamora, with the presence of representatives from all 32 states in the country.”
Furthermore, Tamaulipas is making progress in implementing the new Community Tourism Badge, an initiative promoted by the Federal Tourism Authority, reported the state’s Tourism Minister.
“This initiative promotes sustainable development and the active participation of communities in tourism. By 2025, the state plans to obtain 10 badges of this type,” he added.
Tourism in Tamaulipas is consolidated through hard work, collaboration, and a vision geared toward sustainable development and service excellence, concluded Benjamín Hernández Rodríguez, Secretary of Tourism in Tamaulipas.
