The Tamaulipas Parks and Biodiversity Commission (CPBT) held a meeting with municipal representatives, with the objective of highlighting the potential of the state and the municipalities, as well as the programs and strategies implemented by the state government in favor of flora and fauna.
Before representatives of the 43 municipalities that make up the state of Tamaulipas, Eduardo Rocha Orozco, member of the Commission, presented the six conservation programs that the entity works on.
From sea turtles to the jaguar will be preserved
These programs range from the protection of sea turtles and the monarch butterfly to the conservation of the green macaw and the jaguar.
At the same time, the work in the parks under the protection of the Commission was highlighted, where specialists investigate, develop and study aspects related to these species.
Rocha Orozco highlighted the firm drive and commitment of Governor Américo Villarreal Anaya to protect biodiversity through various measures aimed at improving the environment.
Society and government working hand in hand to strengthen biodiversity
In this context, he urged municipal representatives to work in a coordinated and united manner to strengthen the state’s biodiversity and keep society informed about preventive measures that guarantee a better environment.
“With the support of a collaborative and participatory society, we can achieve it. We must all assume our responsibility to build a better place to live,” he concluded.
