Specialists have finalized the route of the Tamaulipas Bicentennial Marathon, which will take place on November 10 in the capital of Tamaulipas, Ciudad Victoria.
The route for the state’s bicentennial includes 42 kilometers, with the start and finish at the Marte R. Gómez Stadium; there is also a half marathon, which consists of 21 kilometers, and a 10 and 5 kilometer athletic race. There is still an opportunity to register.
Benjamín Hernández Rodríguez, Secretary of Tourism in Tamaulipas, recalled that the prize money for the sporting event is 250 thousand pesos in prizes and raffles.
This is part of the strategies promoted by Governor Américo Villarreal Anaya, as well as the president of the Tamaulipas DIF, María Santiago de Villarreal, who promote healthy eating, healthy living and good habits.
He also reported that the shirts that the participating men and women will wear are ready: “The colors selected were considered to transmit the dynamism of this race and the iconography, which represents the Tamaulipas shield, is used to commemorate the bicentennial of Tamaulipas.”
Finally, he invited the population to witness the passage of the runners through the geography of Victoria, encouraging the runners who are going for the victory.
