The Tamaulipas State Attorney General’s Office summoned relatives of the 11-year-old girl who remained hospitalized in Matamoros after undergoing an approximately five-month pregnancy. The agency has an active investigation file to clarify how the pregnancy occurred and determine responsibility.

The case became known after the minor was admitted to General Hospital No. 13 of the IMSS in Tamaulipas, where she received specialized medical care because her age made it a high-risk pregnancy. Authorities therefore activated protection protocols, and the girl was placed under the care of the DIF.
