The Senate exhibits 56 photographs showcasing the natural and cultural diversity of Tamaulipas

Senator Olga Patricia Sosa Ruiz inaugurated the photographic exhibition “Tamaulipas: Pride Carried in the Heart. A Look at the Cultural and Natural Wealth of Northwest Mexico,” which, through 56 pieces, showcases the diversity of flora, fauna, and the most emblematic landscapes of this state.

It is an honor, the senator said, that images of Tamaulipas are being exhibited in the Senate of the Republic, because they display the beauty of its landscapes, the richness of its traditions, and the spirit of its people.

Sosa Ruiz considered it important that people visiting Mexico City be able to appreciate the natural, social, and cultural wealth of this state located in the northeast of the country, especially in the context of the World Cup that will be held in the coming days.

This exhibition, she added, is an invitation for people to come closer and discover our state through these images. “Tamaulipas is a land of history, hard work, culture, and enormous natural diversity,” she noted.

For his part, Senator Emmanuel Reyes Carmona of the Morena party acknowledged the importance of the state’s biodiversity, as well as the efforts of the state government to promote its attractive tourist areas and the work of the people of Tamaulipas.

Iris Lídice Francioli Villa, head of the Tamaulipas government’s representation in Mexico City, emphasized that this graphic exhibition aims to promote the state’s cultural and artistic heritage, as well as the great natural diversity found in this region of the country.

This exhibition, located in the perimeter gallery of the Senate of the Republic, showcases characteristic Tamaulipas fauna such as the black bear, the Mexican crocodile, the puma, the jaguar, macaws, parrots, and other species.

It also highlights natural attractions such as the “El Cielo” Biosphere Reserve, caves, rivers, the Sierra de Cucharas mountain range, the Cañón de la Peregrina canyon, and the Bernal de Horcasitas Natural Monument, among other natural areas. as well as the “Cuera Tamaulipeca”, which is the traditional clothing of the region.
