Weather in Tamaulipas: Intense rains and strong ‘north’; whirlwinds or tornadoes could form

The National Meteorological Service (SMN) foresees heavy rains with possible thunder storm, maximums of 35 degrees Celsius and a very strong ‘north’ event such as the possible formation of whirlwinds or tornadoes, as reported in the new weather report for this Friday, 21 April in the state of Tamaulipas weather conditions are expected.

The 50 frontal system will extend over the north and northeast of Mexico, causing isolated rains and showers in areas of the northeast, west, center, east, and south of the country.

Today the cloudy sky will prevail with mists at dawn over the mountains of the region. Punctual heavy rains (50 to 75 mm) accompanied by thunder storms and possible hail fall in Tamaulipas and Veracruz.

A temperate morning environment is expected in the region. In the afternoon, a hot environment is expected. As well as, north component wind with gusts of 70 to 80 km/h and possible formation of whirlwinds or tornadoes in Tamaulipas, in the rest of the region, gusts of 40 km/h.
