Altamira Port Terminal (ATP) announced that on the morning of June 30, 2022, with the attention of the MAERSK PUELO ship, it managed to exceed the attention of more than 7 million 20-foot containers (TEU).

It was on October 11, 1995, when ATP started operations with just a staff of 30 collaborators, 14 hectares of patio and a 300-meter waterfront for the attention of ships, handling 50 thousand TEUs per year, with a crane of porch and a patio.

However, with the berth of the MAERSK PUELO, corresponding to the Mediterranean service (WEST-TA6) of the 2M Alliance, of Maersk and Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC), this new milestone for the port terminal is achieved.

ATP explained that, after completing large investment projects in terms of infrastructure, state-of-the-art equipment and staff development, through its almost 27 years of experience, it has managed to consolidate itself as one of the most important terminals in the port of Altamira. and in the Gulf of Mexico.

It currently operates in an area of ​​34 hectares, with more than 700 meters of docks, 4 super post panamax gantry cranes and 3 mobile cranes, as well as yard equipment.
