In Mexico City there will be fines of up to 17 thousand weight s for performing parties  from this week as a preventive measure against the pandemic coronavirus , said Martha Patricia Ruiz Anchondo, head of the Social Attorney (Prosoc). In an interview with MILENIO , the capital city official explained that the measure was issued because citizens continue to hold parties despite the pandemic, which is linked to the rise in infections and hospitalizations in recent weeks.

The prosecutor stressed that the fine is between 868 to 8,688 pesos and will be in effect until Mexico City is in epidemiological traffic light in green.

He explained that in the event that someone holds a party with more than six people, inside a property, elements of the Citizen Security Secretariat (SSC) will come to the home to make the letter. But in case they are not allowed access or the indication is not followed, the authority will make a report to C5, which will be delivered to Prosoc, who will carry out the sanction.

“It is for having made the party and for having disobeyed the call of the authority, basically it is that, what is asked is that they allow access to the authorities, so that they make the request,” he concluded.
