Cold front 21 hits the Yucatan Peninsula with cold and rainy weather

Yucatan Peninsula, December 17, 2020.- Cold front number 21 hits the Yucatan Peninsula this Thursday, December 17, generating heavy to intense rains in the southeast of Mexico, as well as in Campeche, Yucatán, and Quintana Roo.

The cold air mass that accompanies the front, creates a cold to very cold environment in much of the Mexican Republic.

Likewise, a new cold front will approach the northwestern border of Mexico.

Quintana Roo will continue with the warm environment, registering a maximum temperature of 27 degrees during the day and having a minimum of 20 degrees at night.

The cold front event is expected with gusts of 50 to 60 kilometers per hour on the coast of Campeche and Yucatán, in addition to waves of one to three meters high on the coast of Campeche.
